Unique Exercises with the TYTAX Smith Machine and Counter Balance System

The TX series (T1-X, T2-X, T3-X) includes an innovative Smith Machine, providing a superior alternative with numerous unique features compared to traditional models. This system is not just a frame on vertical guide rails; it is an extensive, multifunctional setup designed to enhance workout efficacy and safety.

Quiet Operation

Our Smith Machine operates quietly without the use of linear bearings, which tend to be noisy and accumulate dust. Instead, it features stainless steel guide rails with double-bearing wheels, ensuring silent operation and consistent resistance. TYTAX is the sole manufacturer to adopt this advanced solution in a Smith Machine.

Enhanced Safety Features

The handles on our Smith Machine do not cross the body, enhancing safety during workouts. This design is crucial for preventing accidents, such as those caused by fainting or losing grip.

Maximum Range of Motion

The Smith Machine allows for deeper movement in the lower phase of exercises, enabling greater muscle stretch, especially beneficial for chest workouts.

The same solution is applied in the MX machine – see it in the video.

Versatile Exercise Options

Connectable workout handles on the TX series expand exercise possibilities, demonstrated here in the TYTAX MX model.

The same feature is used in TYTAX MX.

Starting from an Upper Position

Unlike machines that use weight stacks, our Smith Machine allows for starting and ending exercises from an upper position, making it easier to manage heavier weights.

Classic and Specialized Exercises

From vertical leg presses to classic chest and shoulder presses, our Smith Machine accommodates a variety of exercises thanks to its versatile design and attachments.

The Counter Balance system further diversifies workout options by facilitating exercises that use negative weight, enhancing the range of movements possible.

Vertical leg pressing, which you can perform on the standard version of the TX series machines, is a testament to the remarkable versatility of our home gyms. This exercise is an excellent strength exercise and an attractive alternative to squats.

Horizontal Leg Press

One of the classic exercises that utilizes the smooth motion of the bench and the Smith machine is the horizontal leg press. Typically, a leg press is an optional addition to home gym equipment, which entails additional costs and requires more space, as it is almost always an independent system that sometimes even needs its own weight stack.

However, in our machines, the horizontal leg press is a standard exercise. The footrests can be adjusted between high and low positions. A higher position engages the hamstrings and glutes (back of the thigh and buttocks) more, while a more moderate position targets the quadriceps (front of the thigh). The lower footrest position is also safer during pregnancy or for those with back issues. In addition to the footrest height, the angle of the backrest can also be adjusted.

See a few exercises using the horizontal leg press in the video.

Classic Chest Press

On each of our machines, you can perform a classic chest press or shoulder press using the Smith machine. Watch some chest exercises and shoulder exercises.

Specialized Exercises Using the Counterbalance System

On standard machines with the Smith machine, you can perform exercises by pressing the weight upward. However, on each of the TX series models, you can perform many exercises using the Counterbalance system. This system is used for negative weight exercises, which work against the direction of gravity. With this solution, you can perform at least dozens of additional exercises – see some example exercises.

Light Weight Exercises

When exercising on the T1-X or T3-X models using the Smith machine and the Counterbalance system, you have the option to reduce the weight of the Smith machine to a minimal load. This allows even a very weak person to exercise on our machines using the Smith machine – see it in the video.

Pull-Ups with the Counterbalance System

Each of our models features a multifunctional pull-up bar, where you can perform various versions of pull-ups without reducing your body weight. However, most people can only do a few repetitions of this exercise, which is unfortunate because pull-ups are the number one exercise for building back width, essential for achieving a V-shape.

In this exercise, proper technique is crucial. When you start to weaken during the next repetition, you lose the correct form for this exercise.

That’s why it’s amazing that our machines come standard with the Counterbalance system, which assists with pull-ups. Pull-ups using this system allow you to reduce the weight of the person pulling up, which is particularly important for beginners and for acquiring proper exercise technique.

Assisted pull-ups are an exercise not commonly found on other home gym equipment. See an overview of the pull-up bar exercises with reduced weight that can be performed on the T1-X model using the Counterbalance system.

See the same pull-up exercises with weight reduction performed on the MX model.

And also on the smallest machine, the S7 model.

On TX machines, you can also perform pull-ups using the DA-X option, which allows for reducing the weight of the exerciser and adding extra weight tailored to the pull-up torso's weight. See what pull-ups with weight reduction look like on the T2-X model.

Assisted Dips

Dips are ideal for working the shoulders, triceps (back of the arms), chest, and the outer part of the back. They are one of the top three exercises for building chest muscle mass, alongside bench presses and dumbbell presses. Leaning forward activates the chest and shoulders, while a vertical position focuses more on the triceps. Dips can also be performed on TYTAX machines. See it in the video, demonstrated on the T1-X model.

Dips can also be performed on other machines in the series. Check out these exercises on the MX and S7 models.

Assisted dips with weight reduction can also be performed on other machines in this series. See these exercises demonstrated on the MX and S7 models.

Unfortunately, many people cannot perform dips because they require strength equal to at least body weight. Moreover, it is difficult to complete three sets of this exercise, as the body itself serves as the minimum weight. However, with the Counterbalance system, which reverses the direction of movement with the weight, and specially designed handles, you can perform the dipping motion while maintaining a stable position. This allows anyone to do dips on any machine in the series. See these types of exercises using the Counterbalance system, demonstrated on the T1-X model.

Assisted dips with weight reduction can also be performed on other machines in this series. See these exercises demonstrated on the MX and S7 models.
